Start with confidence

The essentials, before your first scan.

Check compatibility, understand the first-run journey, and get clear answers about measurement, access, and language support.

System requirements

Windows

SpaceLens also supports modern Windows PCs; store availability and purchase links may vary by platform.

SpaceLens

Seven launch languages, equal from the start

Every catalog is complete and uses the same stable semantic keys. Language names stay in their own native form.

  • English
  • Deutsch
  • Français
  • Español
  • Português (Brasil)
  • 日本語
  • 简体中文

All 7 launch languages ship together, with no English placeholder catalogs.

Your first scan in three steps

  1. 01

    Choose locations

Select one or more folders or mounted volumes that you want SpaceLens to measure.

  2. 02

    Scan with visible progress

Keep working, cancel if needed, and retain the prior completed index when one exists.

  3. 03

    Follow the largest region

Change grouping or color, drill into folders, and reveal a real item in Finder when you need outside context.

Common questions

Does SpaceLens free space automatically?

No. It identifies and explains storage use but never deletes or changes indexed files.

Should I use on-disk or logical size?

Use on-disk allocation to understand physical capacity and logical size to compare file content lengths.

Why can the indexed total differ from system used space?

The filesystem total can include metadata, snapshots, purgeable space, nested mounts, and inaccessible content that a file index cannot or should not count.

What happens when a folder cannot be read?

SpaceLens records the inaccessible item as a visible issue, continues where safe, and does not estimate its contents.

How does SpaceLens choose a language?

It follows the closest supported computer language until you choose a language manually; that choice persists and takes priority.

Can I inspect a saved index offline?

Yes. Completed indexes stay local and remain inspectable; store verification is required only for gated paid operations such as a new scan.

Microsoft Store availability

The download button becomes a direct Microsoft Store link when the public listing is ready. Until then, the site labels availability honestly instead of sending you to a placeholder product.

See the evidence first. Decide what happens next.

SpaceLens is designed to make a full disk understandable without turning inspection into an irreversible action.
